So all this happened before Christmas, but I am finally getting it together to do a post.
My mom and I take off one saturday for our favorite run in atlanta. Much to my surprise and delightment, while we are on the way to atlanta she mentions the my 3 favorie words, " i need a container." That means a trip to my OCD mecca and 3rd or 4th favorite store ever, the container superstore!! As we are roaming the store to make sure no container was left behind, I ran into an old friend....

Yes, yes, that is the chic-fil-a cow in the container store. After I squealed in delight, I used Karen's favorite quote and took a picture to blog about it. I'm sure that made the cow's day. We did get free milkshake cupons out of it. After that excitement and a couple of unnecessary purchases (not the needed container), we headed to the mall. The normal run, is Macy's, crate and barrel, panini's at the corner bakery and then the shoe store. If i remember correctly we did leave out the eyebrow threading this time, but that usually ends the day. So Crate and barrel went well- got some groovy Christmas decor, panini's were awesome as usual, but there was a little excitement in Macy's. I had good luck shopping- finding a dress for heather's wedding and Christmas party attire but there was also a mariah carey perfume "event going on" so we're walking around and there's a runway...and tables with snacks...kinda creeped me out. No mariah sightings, but as we were walking out, loaded down with packages- there was a bagpiper playing show tunes through macys....i went to get my camera, but I am not nearly as swift as historydiva and the sneaky bagpiper had already wandered away..so I couldn't catch him- I was so disappointed b/c that would have been a nice ending picture for the blog. Ahhh..it was a good day :)

with the not so gentile urging of several readers...i am updating the blog...sorry im not on the computer with the pictures to post tonight...so a more interesting post will be soon ( maybe in a month or so) but at least i've caught up on reading everyone else's :)

ER...VOTING

so being the dedicated and socially aware (lol) person/sister that I am, my brother and I went to early voting together this morning. I decided it was nice and cheesy that we were voting together and that it needed to be commemorated with take it yourself pictures- melba style :) although- obviously not as successful as melba herself.

Busy Weekend

so friday night my family worked frantically to get the house ready for my first over night visitors in my house. I think things went okay, minus a couple little set backs

- then saturday was a gold rush marathon- lots of fun, but i was exhausted after that and a midnight dash through walmart (dash lasting like an hour and a half). It was a sad excuse to stock the pantry to make my house looked lived in...then I had to go and put everything up until 11:30pm ...lol...ocd is a great motivator!

then sunday I woke up around 745 to leave to meet zelda and erik...so after I got ready and weny by my house then hit the road. I got to perimeter around 10- which i thought was late but i love z so much- she wasnt ready either, so around 12 we went searching for breakfast and ended up at the cafe intermezzo. We had a nice breakfast and dessert of course since we were at cafe intermezzo. then we got dessert at alon bakery for later (pictured above), got eyebrows done, and went to the dekalb market!!! and got take out from top spice (the best fried rice in the world) so much fun!
