what 2 posts in one day???

yeah two posts in one day- that's what happens when you mean to attach a picture and end up clicking on the publish button instead- whoops!

so to follow in the style of Karen- here is a picture of Zelda's baby quilt
Now that I'm trying to do better on this blogging thing- I'm going to try a weekly edition of Julie's favorite song of the week: THIS WEEK'S song is : Weezer's Pork and Beans
yes its a little sassy and its great to confuse the coworkers when you tell them that pork and beans is in your head today. Here is where you can get your own pork and beans!!

it's mine, all mine!!

So today was the closing...I was so worried that it wouldnt be to my dad's expectations and we wouldnt get to, but aparently they worked until 11 last night when they ran out of paint. the night before they were up to 2:30 am working on stuff. It is incredible how much a good coat of paint can make a difference. I was up at normal work time today and went by the insurance place to get our copy of the proof of insurance and to pay them of course. Everyone wants money out of me- lol. Then on the way to the final walk through- we get a call that oh the closing that was planned for 2 is really at 12- by now its like 10:30 and we had to get to sugarloaf...so we did a quick walk though and headed on to sign the papers. That part was not nearly as stressful as the confrontation wtih the superintendant was on tuesday. Anyway needless to say, new sod is laid, new paint is drying and the keys are mine :) There will definately be a party planned soon!!
Other news, I got word yesterday that zelda had her baby on tuesday. Got the blanket done on wednesday so all in all that's not too bad!! I got it in the mail today also. Sounds like they are loving having the little guy around. so welcome joaquin!

nightmare on elm street

they got my columns done today for the second time- much better than the first- and if you look past the dead and dying sod there are a few small flowers on a couple of the shrubs so that's exciting :)

nightmare on elm street- that's what my dad is calling my house project. We had a nice discussion with the superintendent and he hopefully is fixing things to our standards and closing is still tentatively scheduled for Friday. Needless to say things have been a little stressful around here. I was getting harassed for not blogging more than twice so i figured this was more fun than doing the check book game :) so here I am blogging instead of sleeping.

Other than house stuff which is taking up a huge amount of time and stress things have been busy the past couple of weeks between funerals and weddings (hmm do I hear another British film i need to watch?) I'm definitely looking forward to a little quiet time to relax and unwind once this busy month is over with!

Heather's wedding was a blast...here's a pic of me getting some action....jk melba :)
